Me & White Supremacy by Layla Saad
Me and White Supremacy: A 28-Day Challenge to Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor leads readers through a journey of understanding their white privilege and participation in white supremacy, so that they can stop (often unconsciously) inflicting damage on black, indigenous and people of color, and in turn, help other white people do better, too. The book goes beyond the original workbook by adding more historical and cultural contexts, sharing moving stories and anecdotes, and includes expanded definitions, examples, and further resources.

Donate to Rebuilding What Dress Code’s Go Fund Me
On the night of Monday, June 1st, 2020, What Dress Code x Junk Jeans Boutique became a victim of looting. Shared in their Go Fund Me, 'As two black women who put their best and their last into building their dream in the downtown area of Las Vegas, the Community is a better place because of them. In this short year, their give back initiatives have been the location to host Sip and Shops in support of prioritizing and promoting other local businesses, they have been a major resource in connecting brands and partnerships and have been the hosting site for blanket donations to help the homeless in Clark County.' Support them rebuilding!
Black Visions Collective
Black, queer, trans centered organization for long term success and transformation.
Sign Breonna Taylers’ Petition
Breonna Taylor was an award-winning EMT and model citizen. She loved her family and community. She worked at two hospitals as an essential worker during the pandemic.
One month ago, a division of the Louisville Police Department performed an illegal, unannounced drug raid on her home. Not a single officer announced themselves before ramming down her door and firing 22 shots, shooting Breonna 8 times, killing her. Sign her petition to bring charges immediately!
Sign George Floyd’s petition
George Floyd was murdered by a Minneapolis police officer.
George was handcuffed and restrained and being completely cooperative when this all went down. The officer put his knee on George’s neck choking him for minutes on minutes while George screamed that he could not breathe. Bystanders beg for the police officer to take his knee off George’s neck, but the officer didn’t listen and continued to choke him.
Not that it would matter at all, but George was not even wanted for a violent crime. A grocery store that he was signing a bad check.
We are trying to reach the attention of Mayor Jacob Frey and DA Mike Freeman to beg to have the officers involved in this disgusting situation fired and for charges to be filed immediately.
Please help us get justice for George and his family!
Donate to Tony McDade’s Family
On May 27th, 2020, Tony McDade, a black LGBTQ person, was shot and killed by a Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) officer.
Many details surrounding this incident are unclear, but we are asking the community for support during this difficult time. 100% of funds collected here will go to Tony's family.
This fund is established to cover funeral and burial expenses, mental and grief counseling, and to assist Tony's family in the days to come as they continue to seek justice for Tony.
All funds collected on this website will be withdrawn to a designated family member (Tony's mother).
The Nina Pop Mental Health Recovery Fund
In the wake of the murders of Nina Pop, Tony McDade, and so many more Black Trans people, The Okra Project recognizes that Black Trans people are feeling the weight of our siblings being murdered while their murderers, whether it be the assailants or the police force that puts very little effort into finding their killers, walk free.
To honor Nina Pop, Tony McDade, and the many Black Trans people who been murdered by state-sanctioned violence, The Okra Project is dedicating $15,000 to create the Nina Pop Mental Health Recovery Fund and the Tony McDade Mental Health Recovery Fund. We are asking the community to match our commitment by donating, as you are able, monetary support to sustain this work or donate one of your scheduled sessions with your Black male/female therapist.
Black Lives Matter
Black Lives Matter description: Support the movement and ongoing fight to end state-sanctioned violence, liberate Black people, and end white supremacy forever.
Reclaim the Block
Reclaim the Block's work to defund police in Minneapolis and move our community's dollars into resources that actually keep us safe. Any contributions made here will help us build that work.
Plan Nevada Vegas Freedom Fund
The Vegas Freedom Fund was founded in 2018 in an effort to combat mass incarceration in Clark County. PLAN created it to free people in need, reunite families, and restore the presumption of innocence. Bail is typically returned at the end of a case, so your donation will come back to the Vegas Freedom Fund, and used to free another Nevadan. 100% of online donations are used to bring people home.
We will continue to share updates as we continue to do the work!
